Vintage Bentley Breaks Down And Temporarily Stalls Sandbach Transport Festival Parade

A rare vintage Bentley brought Sandbach’s annual transport parade to a temporary halt after it broke down while leading the procession.

The Sandbach Transport Festival, a beloved event in the Cheshire town’s calendar, is famous for its grand finale — a parade featuring around 80 vintage and classic vehicles, including cars, trucks, and tractors, making their way through the cobbled town centre.

This year’s parade, however, was momentarily disrupted when the lead vehicle, a rare Bentley, suffered mechanical issues shortly after setting off. Crowds who had gathered to watch the spectacle were left waiting as organisers and volunteers quickly stepped in to move the car and allow the parade to continue.

Despite the unexpected hiccup, the event continued in high spirits, with spectators lining the streets to cheer on the procession of meticulously restored vehicles.

Organisers praised the patience of festival-goers and the swift action of marshals in getting the parade back on track.

The Sandbach Transport Festival remains one of Cheshire’s best-loved celebrations of motoring heritage, drawing enthusiasts and families from across the region each year.
