A woman in her 20s was allegedly sexually assaulted while walking alone down an alleyway near the bustling high street of a seaside town. Police have swooped on a 48-year-old man in connection with the shocking attack.

The disturbing incident happened around 5.35pm on Wednesday, December 3, in a narrow cut-through just off Sheerness High Street, close to the junction with Bridge Road.

The victim claims the man attacked her in the quiet alleyway, sparking immediate police action.

Man Arrested but Now Bailed

Kent Police quickly arrested the 48-year-old suspect following the assault. He has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
