A man has been charged with stalking after a woman in Gillingham reported being followed and verbally harassed

The victim called Kent Police just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, to report the incident as she walked across The Great Lines. The woman called the police and confirmed that she knew the man. She arrived home safely, and officers responded to the scene where a man had been arrested.

Darren Willer, 46, of Romany Road in Gillingham, was arrested on suspicion of stalking. On Friday, 27 January 2023, he appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
