Sam Hook, aged 37 and from Forton Road, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court yesterday (10 November) having been charged with the following:
• Theft from a shop – stealing £67.58 worth of meat from Marks & Spencer in Brockhurst Gate on 8 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £45.80 worth of food from One Stop in Village Road, Gosport, on 16 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £65.77 worth of meat from Marks & Spencer in Brockhurst Gate on 18 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £90.10 worth of alcohol from The Co-op in Dartmouth Court, Gosport, on 23 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £88.50 worth of various goods from The Co-op in Dartmouth Court on 23 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £55.45 worth of coffee and chocolate from One Stop in Village Road on 24 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £39.70 worth of Monster energy drinks from One Stop in Elson Road on 26 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £33 worth of baby milk from Tesco Express in Carless Close on 26 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £65.77 worth of meat from Morrisons in Forton Road on 26 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £55 worth of various goods from One Stop in Village Road on 28 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £100.50 worth of chocolate from One Stop in Elson Road on 28 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £37.50 worth of coffee from One Stop in Village Road on 30 October.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £41 worth of alcohol from One Stop in Elson Road on 1 November.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £80 worth of baby milk from The Co-op in Dartmouth Court on 6 November.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £189.98 worth of alcohol from One Stop in Elson Road on 7 November.
• Theft from a shop – stealing £129 worth of alcohol from The Co-op in Dartmouth Court on 8 November.
• Breaching bail conditions
• Possession of heroin
He was found guilty in the Magistrates’ Court of all offences, and has been remanded in custody to appear at the same court on 5 December for sentencing.
