A second man has been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred in Salisbury early Saturday morning (28/01).
The victim was approached and pushed against a bridge on Cranebridge Road around 1 a.m. The two suspects made off with the victim’s partner’s handbag.
A man from Salisbury was quickly arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail, and a second man, also from Salisbury, was arrested yesterday (30/01) after being located at a property in Southampton by the Wiltshire Police Fortitude Team.
On January 15, a second man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary following a break-in at Butts Terrace in Salisbury and a burglary at the Nisa Local in The Crescent in Salisbury.
After a quantity of Class A drugs were discovered during the arrest, he was arrested again on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
The man was wanted for failing to appear in Salisbury Magistrates’ Court in September and December 2022 after being charged with possession of Class A and B drugs, as well as possessing a bladed article in a public place.
He is still being held for questioning.
