On Sunday, 29 January 2023, Kent Police were contacted, and it was reported that a woman had been sexually assaulted in a vehicle in the town’s New Street area at around 4.10 a.m. that morning.
The following day, a man was arrested following an investigation by the East Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team and the Dover Community Safety Unit.
Jan Szeman, 30, of Tower Hamlets Road, Dover, has been charged with sexual assault and is scheduled to appear in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 1.
