Mehrban’s attack escalated when he dragged the woman into a nearby garage. The Good Samaritan opened the garage door to intervene, only to be brutally struck down with a brick. The attacker knocked him to the floor before continuing his savage assault.

Officers arrested Mehrban at the scene and charged him the same day. He appeared before Leeds Magistrates Court on 2 July and was held in custody during the lengthy legal process. The court’s tough sentence sends a clear message to violent offenders.
