Michael Hall, 60, from The Chase in Bromley South, has been slammed with a seven year and nine month prison sentence. The dad-of-three admitted to running a major drug supply racket dealing cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis, and ketamine.
‘Insane Snail’ Exposed by Cracked Criminal Network
French and Dutch cops broke open the so-called uncrackable EncroChat messaging system, used by criminals to trade drugs and guns. Hall’s chats, passed to the Met Police, revealed he operated as a middleman under the alias ‘Insane Snail’ from January to June 2020.
Seasoned Drug Dealer With Lengthy Rap Sheet
Prosecutor Thom Dyke didn’t pull any punches, saying Hall was “not a newcomer to the world of large-scale drugs conspiracies.” Hall’s criminal past includes two previous jail terms for cannabis supply – two years in 1997 and eight years in 2011.
Deep Links to Drug Kingpins Across the South East
At Croydon Crown Court, it emerged Hall used his drug world connections to broker deals between heavy hitters. One contact was Jack Tahir from Beckenham, who copped a 10-year sentence in 2021 for peddling over £1million worth of drugs. Tahir, known online as Narrowrifle and Midland Buck, was key in distributing drugs across the south east.
