Detectives Release Teenager On Bail As Manhunt Continues

Detectives release teenager on bail as manhunt continues

Detectives investigating the murder of Michael Freshwater have this evening bailed a 17-year-old boy from London after he was arrested on Tuesday (May 10) on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to supply class A drugs. He has been released on bail until July 12 pending further enquiries. Michael’s body was found at an address in Westridge Road at around 4.15pm on Friday, April 29. Police continue to appeal to the public to help trace two men, Tristan Pope aged 23 and Kevin Suika aged 21. Detective Superintendent Becky Riggs said: “If you know where these men are, if you’ve seen them or think you know where they might be, get in contact with us. Call Hampshire Constabulary on 101 and quote Operation Windless.”” Associates and friends should be aware that if they are found to be assisting Pope or Suika to avoid arrest or harbouring them they may be committing an offence and may be liable for arrest and a term of imprisonment themselves. To give information anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or report online.
