Gruesome footage has exposed the chilling moment Mohammed Suffi slammed his car into a crowd outside The Tunnel Club in Birmingham last October. The rampage came after a violent brawl during a student Freshers’ Week event, leaving six people battered and broken.

Horrific Injuries to Victim Dragged Under Car

One victim, Caliston Calistus, suffered catastrophic injuries after being dragged under Suffi’s Mercedes. His shattered body was left with fractured ribs, pelvis, broken collarbone, shoulder blades, a broken neck, and collapsed lungs. He needed major surgery and spent three harrowing weeks in hospital.

“You will not be surprised to learn that he thought he was going to die,” said prosecutor Daniel Oscroft at Birmingham Crown Court.

Suffi, 22, from Birmingham, was high on nitrous oxide before the attack. After the hit-and-run, he tried to ditch the car and fled the country.

Jury Finds Suffi Guilty of GBH with Intent

Suffi faced attempted murder charges but was convicted of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. He had already admitted to dangerous driving. Sentencing is booked for February 2026, with a judge warning of a “significant and immediate” jail sentence.

From Nightclub Brawl to Brutal Hit-and-Run

Oscroft revealed the build-up: Suffi and three friends attended a lively student night at The Tunnel Club. Tensions flared, security kicked them out, but they returned, sparking a full-scale fight.

CCTV captured Suffi holding a nitrous oxide balloon earlier that night. Around 2:20am, aggressive behaviour led to their ejection. Witnesses said Suffi’s gang stayed hostile and returned to attack as patrons left.

‘Deliberate’ Attack: Driver Circles Back, Mows Down Victims

“Suffi started to drive aggressively. The vehicle reversed, circled back, and drove at pedestrians, knocking people over,” said Oscroft.
