Gruesome CCTV has revealed the terrifying moment Mohammed Suffi slammed his car into a crowd outside Birmingham’s The Tunnel Club last October. The violent hit-and-run followed a brutal brawl during a student Freshers’ Week night, leaving six people battered and broken.

Man Dragged Under Car Suffers Devastating Injuries

One victim, Caliston Calistus, endured horrific injuries after being dragged beneath Suffi’s Mercedes. He was left with fractured ribs, pelvis, a broken collarbone and shoulder blades, a broken neck, and collapsed lungs. The trauma required major surgery and a three-week hospital stay.

“You will not be surprised to learn that he thought he was going to die,” said prosecutor Daniel Oscroft at Birmingham Crown Court.

Suffi, 22, from Birmingham, was high on nitrous oxide during the rampage. After the attack, he abandoned the car and fled the country.

Jury Convicts Suffi of GBH with Intent

Suffi faced attempted murder charges but was convicted of grievous bodily harm with intent. He had already admitted to dangerous driving. Sentencing is scheduled for February 2026, with a judge warning of a “significant and immediate” jail term.

Student Night Brawl Escalates Into Chaos

Prosecutor Oscroft detailed the build-up. Suffi and three friends arrived at The Tunnel Club for a boozy Freshers’ event. Tensions sparked a massive fight, resulting in security throwing them out.

But they didn’t leave. CCTV showed Suffi clutching a nitrous oxide balloon earlier that night. Around 2:20am, the gang returned hostile, attacking clubgoers as they exited.

‘Deliberate’ Hit-and-Run as Driver Circles Back to Mow Down Victims

Oscroft revealed Suffi’s Mercedes reversed, circled, and ramped into the crowd. Victims were knocked down and dragged beneath the car.

“Calistus was caught up in a fight when Suffi’s car charged at him and another man, dragging them underneath. The vehicle rose and fell over their bodies,” said Osmcroft.

“Suffi could have stopped. Instead, he deliberately drove over them,” the prosecutor added.

Afterwards, Suffi dumped the wrecked Mercedes at an industrial park in Oldbury before fleeing the UK, leaving behind multiple seriously injured victims.
