Ketamine Driver Blows Eight Times Legal Limit on the Road
Joshua Winson, 21, of Salisbury Road, pleaded guilty to drug driving after police caught him driving with ketamine levels over eight times the legal limit.
Slow Van Driving Sparks Suspicion
On 3rd February, Winson was spotted creeping around a McDonald’s car park in his Peugeot Partner van. A member of the public noticed him parked badly between two spaces and called the police, suspecting he was drunk.
Admits to Ketamine, Not Alcohol
When stopped by officers, Winson quickly confessed he had ketamine in his system—not alcohol. Tests revealed a staggering 176 units in his blood.
12-Month Driving Ban and Fines
Winson explained he took ketamine the night before, following a friend’s recommendation, due to personal troubles at home. The court handed him a 12-month driving ban, a £166 fine, £85 costs, and a £34 surcharge.
