Jogger Attacked and Robbed at Knifepoint in Epsom

A peaceful early morning run turned into a terrifying ordeal for a man in Epsom, Surrey. At around 5.30am on Saturday, May 4, the jogger was ambushed and assaulted by two masked men.

Masked Thugs Strike Near Popular Recreation Ground

Surrey Police revealed the attackers were dressed in black tracksuits and balaclavas. They waited near the junction of Temple Close and Hazon Way before jumping the victim. The pair punched him in the head and robbed him of his phone and glasses, rifling through his pockets during the violent assault.

The suspects, both white males, then fled the scene swiftly. The attack happened close to Court Recreation Ground, a spot normally bustling with dog walkers, families, and joggers.

Locals have been left shaken and are now calling for a stronger police presence to keep the community safe.
