Folkestone Man Receives Ban For Drink-driving

Billy Weir Sommerville, aged 31, of Enbrook Valley, Folkestone, was sentenced on 10 February 2022 at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to driving when above the legal drink-drive limit, in Hythe, on 8 January 2022. When stopped he gave a reading of 92 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was disqualified from driving for a total of 24 months and fined £600. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.
