Kidderminster drug dealer sentenced to five years

A Kidderminster county lines dealer was sentenced to five years and two months after being found guilty of supplying cocaine.
Syed Ahmad, 36, of Gheluvelt Avenue, Kidderminster was found guilty at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday 26 February of being concerned in the supply of cocaine for which he was sentenced to three years and nine months (45 months).
Ahmad (pictured) also had a previous suspended sentence for being concerned in the supply of cocaine activated for which he was sentenced to 17 months consecutively bringing his total term to five years and two months (62 months).
DC Kane Baker of North Worcestershire Proactive CID said:“We are pleased to get this court result for Ahmad whose drug dealing pushed cocaine into Kidderminster and the surrounding areas.
“The harmful impact of drugs and drug dealing on our communities is well documented and we will always act on intelligence to shut down deal lines like this one.
“Drug dealers prey on the most vulnerable people in society and their presence in turn causes more crime such as shoplifting, burglary and antisocial behaviour.”
