In a significant development of an ongoing National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation, a Lithuanian lorry driver has been charged after a staggering £6.8 million worth of cocaine was seized by authorities in Liverpool.
The arrest came after NCA officers intercepted Edgaras Slusnys, 37, a resident of Northern Ireland, on Friday evening, September 23. The lorry he was driving, registered with a Northern Ireland-based haulier, was subjected to a thorough search, with the collaboration of Merseyside Police" link="linked" id="83664">Merseyside Police and Border Force.
