Liverpool Man Jailed for Vicious Attack on Seagull in Blackpool

Anthony Nurse, 31, from Liverpool, has been locked up after CCTV caught him brutally stamping on a gull in Blackpool last December. The shocking footage shows Nurse kicking a group of gulls on Springfield Road before trapping one underfoot and stamping on it three times. The poor bird later died from its injuries.

CCTV Footage Cracks Case

The brutal attack was caught on CCTV and passed to the RSPCA, who urged the public to help identify the culprit. Nurse was quickly named as the attacker. At Preston Magistrates Court, he pleaded guilty to breaching the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

Six Weeks Behind Bars for Animal Cruelty

Nurse, of Hurstlyn Road, was jailed for six weeks. His sentence came on top of an earlier arrest for unrelated offences. This case sends a clear message: animal cruelty won’t be tolerated on UK streets.
