In an unfortunate incident on Saturday, July 1, 2022, a man was arrested after assaulting three on-duty police officers in Oldham. The incident occurred following a road traffic collision on Middleton Road, prompting a response from the Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
Upon arriving at the scene, the officers discovered that two vehicles had been involved in the collision. One woman in her 20s sustained minor injuries and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment.
While gathering information about the second vehicle involved in the collision, the three police officers were assaulted by an individual. Thankfully, the injuries sustained by the officers are not believed to be serious.
