Man Charged After Shocking Sheerness Attack

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a savage attack in Sheerness that left a man in his 60s with serious head injuries.

Brutal High Street Assault Stuns Town

Kent Police rushed to a private home on Sheerness High Street at 6.43pm on Wednesday, 11 February 2026. They found the victim badly injured and rushed him to a London hospital. Thankfully, the man has now been discharged.

Suspect Held and Faces Court

Later that same evening, officers arrested 31-year-old Aidan Kirby from Pentrich Avenue, Enfield, London. He was charged with attempted murder the very next day. Kirby appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded ahead of a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 13 March.

Kent Police are continuing their investigation and urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has CCTV footage to come forward immediately.
