Man charged with Portsmouth street robbery
A man appeared in court this morning following an incident in which a woman was assaulted during a robbery attempt in Portsmouth. It was alleged that a woman in her 50s was assaulted on St Marys Road by a man who tried to take money from her. This took place shortly after 11am on 9 November. Christopher Scott Bryan, 45, of no fixed abode, has been charged with assault with intent to commit robbery. Police remanded him in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court this morning.
