Stephen Finnigan, a 63-year-old resident of Longfield Road in Litherland, has been sentenced to 29 years and six months in prison for 29 counts of historical sexual offences against five children. The sentencing took place today, Friday, January 5, at Liverpool Crown Court following a two-week trial.
The investigation into Finnigan’s crimes began in 2014 when a report was received regarding sex offences against a child that occurred over a span of several years. As the investigation progressed, additional victims came forward, resulting in a charge being brought in 2022.
