Police launch Investigation after Stabbing in Gosport

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the Henville Close area of Gosport, around 7pm on Friday, January 13? Officers are appealing for information after a man was assaulted, which resulted him receiving a stab wound to his left forearm. The 31-year-old victim was approached by a man he did not know. After a short scuffle, the man ran away. The victim then realised he had a wound on his arm. He was taken to Gosport War Memorial for treatment. The man is described as: • White • Aged in his early to mid 20s • About 5ft 5ins tall • Of slim build • Wearing a dark green coloured jacket with fur around the hood. Detective Constable Julie Way, of Fratton CID, said: “This was a serious, seemingly unprovoked attack that resulted in an injury requiring surgery. “We would like anyone who may have witnessed what took place, or remembers seeing a man matching the description given, to call us as soon as possible.” RMS Number: 44170016199
