Police Launch Hunt After Stabbing in Gosport

Police are on the lookout for witnesses following a stabbing in Gosport on Friday, January 13. The attack happened around 7pm in the Henville Close area, leaving one man seriously injured.

Victim Stabbed in Unprovoked Attack

The 31-year-old victim was approached by a stranger. A brief scuffle broke out before the attacker fled the scene. The victim soon realised he had a stab wound to his left forearm. He was rushed to Gosport War Memorial Hospital for emergency treatment and surgery.

  • White male
  • Early to mid 20s
  • About 5ft 5in tall
  • Slim build
  • Wearing a dark jacket with fur around the hood

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“This was a serious, seemingly unprovoked attack that resulted in an injury requiring surgery. We would like anyone who may have witnessed what took place, or remembers seeing a man matching the description given, to call us as soon as possible.” – Detective Constable Julie Way, Fratton CID
