Knife Threat on Worksop Teens Sparks Police Hunt
Shock as a car pulls up alongside teen boys in Worksop, with a passenger brandishing a six-inch blade. The incident unfolded around 6.30pm last night on Valley Road, spotted by a vigilant passerby.
Speedy Police Arrest Following Blade Incident
After the passenger threatened the teenagers, he jumped back in the car which then sped off. Quick-thinking officers tracked the vehicle down on Highgrounds Road, Worksop.
Five males aged 15 to 21 were arrested and are now in custody. They face questioning for affray and possession of a bladed article.
Drug and Weapon Seizures Add to Charges
- Two 17-year-olds also arrested for cannabis possession after police found Class B drugs during a search.
- A knife was seized from the vehicle.
Police Issue Stark Warning on Knife Crime
Inspector Hayley Crawford of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Drugs and knife crime is totally unacceptable and we will always investigate reports thoroughly.
“Our message to those who carry a knife, or who are thinking of carrying one, is that you will be arrested.
“Every blade we seize is one less dangerous weapon that can be used to cause serious harm or injury – potentially resulting in someone’s life being lost.
