Cameron Fraser, a 28-year-old serving police officer, has been sentenced to a six-month community payback order after pleading guilty to indecent communications with a child after sending a half naked selfie in his police uniform to a boy via Snapchat. The sentencing took place on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Fraser’s actions came to light during an investigation by Police Scotland. His online misconduct was deemed appalling by Chief Superintendent Helen Harrison of the British Transport Police (BTP) officer has been sentenced after being convicted of attempting sexual communication with a child, following an investigation by BTP’s Professional Standards Department" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpil-monitor-id="22263">Professional Standards Department. She emphasised that there is no hiding place for such offences, and Fraser will now face the consequences of his actions.
