West Midlands Police Constable Anthony Ritchie and his former colleague, Steven Walters, are set to be jailed after engaging in sexual relationships with vulnerable women while on duty. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) reported that Ritchie, 46, had sexual encounters with one woman after arresting her partner and began a sexual relationship with another after attempting to arrest her son. Meanwhile, Walters, 55, initiated oral sex with two women while responding to domestic abuse incidents in 2013.
According to the IOPC, one of the women involved subsequently entered into a sexual relationship with Ritchie a few months later. The investigation revealed that Ritchie and the woman had contact on his personal phone and engaged in sexual activity after he arrested her partner. The woman also informed Ritchie about the oral sex incident initiated by Walters in October 2013, when he responded to a domestic abuse call.
