A violent man fatally stabbed his pregnant girlfriend 19 times after demanding she have an abortion, a court heard.
Tragic Killing in Walthamstow
Alana Odysseos, 32, was in the early stages of pregnancy with her third child when she was attacked by Shaine March at their home in Walthamstow, east London, just after midnight on July 22.
Neighbours reported hearing the couple argue hours earlier, including a woman’s voice saying, “I don’t want to kill my baby.”
Warnings Ignored
Before the attack, March accused Ms Odysseos of cheating and claimed the unborn child was not his. He threatened her to terminate the pregnancy, the Old Bailey was told.
Desperate Final Moments
At 3am, passersby found Ms Odysseos outside her home, bleeding heavily and clutching her side. Wearing only a nightie and dressing gown, she identified March as her attacker, crying, “Shaine stabbed me, he stabbed me. Help, help.”
March calmly walked away while emergency services tried to save her. Sadly, she died at the scene.
