An individual has been detained relating to a recent burglary in Hellingly.
The incident was reported to the police on Wednesday, 27 December, concerning a break-in at a residence on Goldring Avenue the previous evening (26 December). The burglar made away with electrical appliances, video games, jewellery, and clothing valued at around £16,000. Additionally, a vehicle is suspected to have been tampered with during the incident.
After conducting investigations, an 18-year-old man was apprehended on burglary charges with intent to steal and cause damage to a vehicle valued under £5000.
