Six people, including five children aged between seven and 15, were injured in an air rifle shooting in Sheffield on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred at around 2:23 p.m. on Richmond Park Avenue, located in the eastern part of the city.

Three of the children were rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery to remove air rifle pellets from their bodies. A 62-year-old woman was also injured during the shooting.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, coming just months after a 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a separate attack at a school in Sheffield.
