Dylan Evans Faces Serious Charges Over Social Media Posts
Dylan Evans, who lives on York Road, was charged on Tuesday (23 April) with supporting the banned terrorist group Hamas, breaching section 12(1) of the Terrorism Act 2000. He also faces two counts of intending to stir up racial hatred under the Public Order Act 1986.
The charges stem from a series of comments Evans allegedly made on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) in October 2023.
Evans Released on Bail, Court Date Set
Evans has been granted conditional bail and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 23 May. Hamas is classified as a proscribed terrorist organisation in the UK, making it a criminal offence to support the group publicly.
