Three people have been charged in connection with an assault in Canterbury – UKNIP

At around 6.50pm on Wednesday 16 August 2023, Kent Police located a wounded teenager in Shaftesbury Road, Canterbury. He had a single injury consistent with a stab wound.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance attended and the boy was airlifted to hospital for treatment.

Three people were arrested the same day.

The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charges of attempted murder against Kenny Harmsworth, 22 of Walden Court, Canterbury, 18-year-old Lewis Whittington of no fixed address and Bailey Turpin, 18, of Alfred Close, Canterbury.

Mr Whittington was also charged with one count of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

They have been remanded in custody and are all due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court during the afternoon of Friday 18 August.
