Teen Stabbed in Canterbury: Three Arrested for Attempted Murder

Just before 7pm on Wednesday 16 August, Kent Police found a teenage boy injured with a stab wound on Shaftesbury Road, Canterbury.

Emergency crews including South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance rushed the boy to hospital for urgent treatment.

Three Charged Over Knife Attack

Police arrested three suspects the same day. The Crown Prosecution Service has now slammed charges of attempted murder on them.

  • Kenny Harmsworth, 22, of Walden Court, Canterbury
  • Lewis Whittington, 18, no fixed address
  • Bailey Turpin, 18, of Alfred Close, Canterbury

Whittington also faces a drug charge for possession with intent to supply.

Remanded in Custody Ahead of Court Date

All three suspects were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 18 August.
