The Woolwich community is in shock after three-year-old Isiayah Henry died in hospital on January 19. He had been admitted two weeks earlier with serious injuries, prompting police to launch a safeguarding and criminal investigation.

Two Charged With Murder Over Toddler’s Death

Tanisha Henry, 28, of St Mary’s Street, Woolwich, and Mikael Williams, 30, from Beaconsfield Road, SE17, have been charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child. The pair appeared at Woolwich Crown Court on February 20, facing two charges each linked to Isiayah’s heartbreaking death.

Investigation Continues Ahead of Next Court Date

The case is set to return to Woolwich Crown Court on April 22, when the court will lay out trial dates and pre-trial procedures. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command worked closely with hospital safeguarding teams to uncover the tragic details surrounding Isiayah’s passing.
