Knife chaos in Newark: Three charged after street stabbing scare
Disturbance breaks out on Lincoln Road
Police raced to Lincoln Road, Newark, just before 7.30pm on Monday 6 March following reports of a violent disturbance.
Three charged amid knife mayhem
- Horrace Price, 37, of Woodland Walk, Collingham, faces charges of affray and two counts of carrying a bladed weapon.
- Bradley Jones, 31, from Wolfit Avenue, charged with threatening someone with an offensive weapon in public.
- A 16-year-old boy, protected for legal reasons, charged with attempted GBH, threatening with a blade, and possession of a bladed article.
Court dates set, further arrests continue
All three appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 8 March. They’ve been bailed with conditions to face Nottingham Crown Court on 5 April.
Meanwhile, a 48-year-old man remains on bail after being arrested on suspicion of affray and grievous bodily harm. Police investigations are ongoing.
Police hunt witnesses and footage
Detective Sergeant Jackie Price said: “Thankfully no one was seriously injured during this incident and we have now been able to bring three charges in this case.
“We know that there may have been others in the area when this occurred, so I want to ask anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward and speak to us.”
