Two More Arrested Over Teen’s Fatal Stockwell Shooting
Detectives probing the brutal shooting of 16-year-old Lathaniel Burrell in Stockwell have arrested two more suspects, the Met Police confirmed today.
Tragedy on Paradise Road
Lathaniel was shot dead on Tuesday, 4 March, on Paradise Road, SW4. He died instantly from gunshot wounds, sparking a major murder investigation led by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
New Suspects in Custody
The latest arrests include a 17-year-old boy from Peckham and a 30-year-old man from Lambeth. Both were detained on Tuesday, 26 March on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody as the investigation continues.
Earlier Charges Made
- Omar Prempeh, 32, of Sunderland Road, Forest Hill, was charged with murder on 8 March and appeared at the Old Bailey on 12 March.
- A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder on 11 March. He appeared at Bromley Youth Court on 12 March and is due to appear alongside Prempeh at the Old Bailey on 29 May.
Lathaniel’s family are being supported by specially trained officers as they await justice for their son’s heartbreaking death.
