Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Fatal Collision in Harwich

Two teenage boys have been arrested after a violent altercation in Westcliff on Monday afternoon left a boy with a puncture wound.

Essex Police were called to Springfield Avenue shortly after 2:30 PM on Monday, May 20, following reports of multiple young people fighting. Officers arrived promptly at the scene and found a boy with a puncture wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, and fortunately, his injury is not life-threatening. He is currently in stable condition.

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of a knife. Both have been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.

Essex Police have spoken to several witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the incident. Detective Inspector Sarah Mason said, “We are working diligently to understand the circumstances of this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.”
