Two Women Charged in Connection with Cody Fisher Murder Case
Two women have been charged with assisting an offender in the high-profile murder case of Cody Fisher, a semi-professional footballer who was fatally stabbed at Birmingham’s Crane nightclub on Boxing Day, 2022.

Jahzeen Carpenter, 39, and Nadine Taylor, 44, both from Dudley, appeared in court on Tuesday. They are accused of helping Kami Carpenter evade arrest in the days following Fisher’s tragic death.

Jahzeen Carpenter is the mother of Kami Carpenter, one of two men convicted for Cody Fisher’s murder. Nadine Taylor, Jahzeen’s sister, is accused of being involved in the case as well. Both women were released on bail and are scheduled to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 8 October.

The charges come after Kami Carpenter was sentenced to life imprisonment earlier this year in connection with the murder. The killing of 23-year-old Fisher shocked the local community due to its occurrence at a popular nightclub during the festive season.

Cody Fisher, who had played football for Stratford Town FC, was attacked while on a night out with friends at Crane nightclub in Birmingham’s Digbeth area. His murder prompted a widespread investigation and calls for increased safety measures in nightlife venues across the country.
