A 35-year-old woman has been charged with drink driving after being caught during the first day of Operation Limit, the annual winter blitz targeting drunk and drugged drivers.

Stop on East Hill, Woking

Police were patrolling East Hill in Woking on Monday, 1 December 2025 as part of the nationwide campaign to keep roads safe over the festive season. Gemma Burges, from Knaphill, was pulled over and found to be over the legal alcohol limit.

Legal Action Underway

Burges, born 16 November 1990, has been formally charged with driving while intoxicated. She is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 20 January 2026.
