Woman Busted Drink Driving on First Day of Festive Crackdown

A 35-year-old woman was caught drink driving on the opening day of Operation Limit, the annual winter crackdown on drunk and drugged drivers.

Police patrolling East Hill in Woking on Monday, 1 December 2025, pulled over Gemma Burges from Knaphill. Tests showed she was over the legal alcohol limit, sparking immediate legal action.

Legal Action Underway

Born 16 November 1990, Burges has been formally charged with driving while intoxicated. She faces Guildford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 20 January 2026.
