Man Stabbed in Blackpool Resort: Police Launch Hunt for Attacker

Early this morning, around 4:25 a.m., police were called to Dickson Road in Blackpool after a man was found unconscious with a suspected stab wound to the chest.

Victim in Serious but Stable Condition

The victim, a man in his twenties, was rushed to Blackpool Victoria Hospital. He remains in serious but stable condition. No arrests have been made yet as detectives continue their investigation.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage

“This incident has left a young man very sick in hospital,” said Detective Chief Inspector Lee Wilson of Blackpool CID. “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious around Dickson Road, Springfield Street, or General Road this morning, or who has any information, to come forward and speak to us.”

“I have a team of detectives working on this case, and we are following a number of lines of inquiry to try to identify the offender.”

“I’d like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage, as well as any taxi drivers who worked in the area overnight.”

Road Closures in Place Amid Police Inquiries

Police had to close parts of Blackpool this morning to carry out their work. Detective Wilson said, “I make no apologies for this, but I appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.”
