Man Found Stabbed on Jutland Street Dies in Hospital
Emergency services were called to Jutland Street at around 3 a.m. today, Friday, June 17, after a man in his 40s was found with serious stab wounds to his chest.
The victim was rushed to Royal Preston Hospital but sadly died from his injuries.
Police Launch Full Investigation, No Arrests Yet
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Haworth-Oates of Lancashire Police’s Major Investigation Team said: “These are very sad and tragic circumstances. Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones at this difficult time. They have our full support and heartfelt sympathies.”
He added: “Our investigation is still in its early stages. We have a team of detectives working hard to identify and arrest those responsible.”
Officers Urge Public to Come Forward with Information
The police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage from the area around the time of the stabbing. Suspicious activity near Jutland Street could be vital to the probe.
“If you have any information, please contact us,” Det Ch Insp Haworth-Oates urged. “We’ve increased patrols in the area to reassure the public.”
