A man has been arrested following a serious crash on the M2 motorway that resulted in two children being hospitalised. Emergency services responded to the coastbound carriageway of the M2, situated between Junction 4 for Hempstead and Junction 5 for Sittingbourne, at approximately 5:10 am on Thursday, December 28.
The collision, which involved a grey Vauxhall Astra and a red Citroen Berlingo, necessitated the closure of the motorway from Junction 3 for Blue Bell Hill for over seven hours. The motorway was reopened just after midday.
