Rape probe launched after woman is attacked in Rochester

    Detectives are investigating the reported rape of a woman in Rochester. The incident happened in The Vines, off Crow Lane, between 2.30am and 4am on Sunday 24 November 2019.   The victim, a woman in her 20s, had been out with friends and was walking through the park with a man when he is alleged to have raped her. The man and victim did not know each other, but are reported to have met earlier. The suspect is described as being white, of slim build and aged in his late teens or early 20s. He had short dark hair and facial hair.   Anyone with information concerning the incident is urged to call Kent Police on 01634 792209, quoting reference 24-0212. Officers are also asking residents living in properties close to the area to check any CCTV they may have.
