Girl Sexually Assaulted on Richmond Pathway
Just after 3pm on Tuesday 21 June, a young girl was attacked while walking a path from Stradbroke Road to Coisley Hill in Richmond. A man allegedly grabbed her by the throat and sexually assaulted her.
Suspect Description Released
The attacker is described as a white male, around 5ft 6in, muscular build, with red blotches on his face, blue-grey eyes, and greying stubble. He wore a long-sleeved black jumper, black or grey trousers or jeans, dark shoes or boots, a black beanie hat with a fold, and a black face covering.
Police Appeal to Richmond Residents
Detective Inspector Chris Ronayne praised the victim’s bravery. “She continues to receive support from specialist services,” he said.
Officers want to hear from anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the attack. “Did you see anyone loitering?” DI Ronayne asked. Police are particularly keen to speak with two schoolgirls the victim saw on the path. They may hold key information.

The community is urged to stay vigilant. Police have increased patrols and set up a dedicated team investigating the incident.
