At 8.05pm on 18 February, a man boarded a train from Manchester Piccadilly. Trouble kicked off when he clashed with a loud teenage boy speaking on his mobile phone.

The victim tried to avoid the trouble by moving down the carriage, preparing to get off at Holmes Chapel. But the boy followed him, landing repeated punches to the man’s head.
Assailant Flees Train, Heads to Cardiff
After the brutal attack, the boy jumped off at Crewe and caught another train heading to Cardiff.
Victim Left with Serious Injuries
The victim suffered a deep cut on his lip requiring stitches, plus bruises on his head and ear.
