Van Hits Cyclist Outside BP Garage – Man Left Fighting for Life
A 30-year-old cyclist was slammed by a van near the BP Garage at around 10.30pm. The rider suffered potentially life-changing injuries in the shocking smash.
Driver Fled the Scene
The van did not stop after the collision, leaving the injured man at the scene.
Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest
After a public appeal, police swiftly tracked down and arrested a suspect for causing serious injury by reckless driving. The man was also arrested on suspicion of drunk and drugged driving and remains in custody.
