A 21-year-old man from Littlehampton has been cleared of sexual assault following a trial at Portsmouth Crown Court.

Gulahmad Oryakhail Found Not Guilty

Gulahmad Oryakhail faced charges after a teenage girl accused him of sexual assault at Maltravers Leisure Park, Littlehampton, on 25 October 2024. He was held in custody ahead of his May trial.

On Friday, 2 May, the jury ruled Mr Oryakhail not guilty, ending the case.

Victim Praised for Courage

The teenage victim received support from specially trained officers throughout the investigation.

“I would like to commend the bravery of the girl for coming forward, reporting to police, and supporting the process through to its conclusion,” said Detective Constable Frances Block.
