Murder Investigation After Woman, 25, Dies in Fall From 1 Flats
A murder investigation has been launched after a 25-year-old woman died following a fall from a block of flats in Cuckmere Lane, Southampton.
Emergency Response
Police and paramedics were called to the scene at 2.43pm on Thursday (28 August) after reports that a woman had fallen from the building.
She was found with significant injuries and rushed to hospital, but despite the efforts of medical staff, she died on Friday (29 August).
Police Appeal
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed they are now looking for a man believed to have been at the property at the time of the fatal fall.
A spokesperson said:
“Officers are pursuing lines of inquiry to identify a man within the property at the time of the incident.”
The woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Visible Police Presence
Uniformed officers remained at the flats on Cuckmere Lane over the weekend, with reassurance patrols taking place in the surrounding area as inquiries continue.
Ongoing Investigation
No arrests have yet been made. Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the incident or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to come forward.
