A suspect has been arrested following a violent struggle with West Midlands Police officers after being caught driving a stolen car in Kingstanding.
Stolen Vehicle Spotted by Road Crime Team
The Road Crime Team officers identified the vehicle shortly after it was reported stolen in a burglary. The driver remained unaware of police presence until he came to a stop, at which point officers moved in to detain him.
Despite being cornered, the suspect attempted to resist arrest and engaged in a physical struggle with officers in a bid to escape. However, he was successfully restrained and taken into custody.
Investigation Ongoing
A police spokesperson praised the swift actions of officers, stating:
“This arrest sends a clear message that vehicle theft will not be tolerated. Our teams are working tirelessly to track down stolen vehicles and bring offenders to justice.”
