A driver has admitted manslaughter over the death of a four-year-old boy in a shocking Southfleet crash that also left the child’s father paralysed from the waist down.

Tragedy on New Barn Road

Owen Maughan, 27, pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court today (October 7) to causing the death of little Peter Maughan on the evening of June 1. The crash involved two Ford Rangers colliding on New Barn Road at around 9.30pm.
The court heard the devastating effects on Lovell Mahon, who has undergone rehabilitation therapy following the crash.
